My Story
Cassie Brockbank – Why I’m Running the Oxford Half Marathon
On 12th October 2025, I’ll be running the Oxford Half Marathon in support of Helen & Douglas House – a charity that offers incredible care and compassion to children with life-limiting conditions and their families.
This challenge is personal for me. I wanted something to work towards, something that would push me beyond my limits both physically and mentally. Training for a half marathon is no small task, but the thought of the children and families supported by Helen & Douglas House inspires me to keep going – even on the toughest days.
Running this race gives me a sense of purpose and achievement, knowing that every step I take helps provide vital care and comfort to those going through the unimaginable. Helen & Douglas House relies on public donations to continue their work, and I’m proud to play a small part in helping raise the £6 million needed each year to keep their doors open.
Please support me on this journey – together, we can make a difference.
